2018 Hampers Served

The Foodbank has seen a considerable increase in demand over the past few years.

We served 1,422 hampers to individual households in 2018 through our main Food Hamper Program; 60% of which were adults and 40% children. That is 7-10 days worth of food to 4,232 individuals.

We were also able to provide additional support through our Help Yourself Shelf Program with 4763 household visits throughout the year. This is an increase of 11% compared to 2018 statistics. During the Christmas season, we distributed 243 Christmas hampers.

Donations of non-perishable food may be dropped off in bins at Sobeys, Safeway, Save On Foods & Okotoks Natural Foods Market stores here in Okotoks. There are also donation bins at Okotoks Recreation Centre (in front of Natural High Fitness), Okotoks Eco Centre, and Pason Centennial Arena.

For larger food donations please make an appointment for drop off by calling 403-651-6629. You may register your Food Drive here on our website, as well, we have fantastic Donation Barrels available for your Food Drive or business location.
