26 February 2021

The Caring and Sharing Foodbankers Team completed their Coldest Night of the Year walk on Friday, Feb 26. The team was made up of the staff at the Okotoks Foodbank: Donna Large, Bente Yanota, Carl Kennedy, and Pamela McLean. It was a conscious choice to do the walk on a chilly day as a pointed reminder of those on whose behalf we were walking – the hungry, homeless and helpless. As a team, we doubled the target amount we set to raise, thanks to the love and generosity of our sponsors. All virtual walks should be completed by now, however, donations can continue to be made to the CNOY organization until the end of March (https://cnoy.org/location/okotoks ). Final amounts will be announced later this month but in the meantime, a big thank you for making this year’s CNOY walk so meaningful.
