Those who cared, shared. See who.
The Okotoks Food Bank services are essential when a crisis hits! Injury at work, loss of income, abandonment, abuse or seniors funding shortage are just a few reasons members of our community may need short term assistance. No one is immune.

Okotoks continues to grow and so does the number of families that need access to our services. Our team works hard to access and distribute the volume of food that is necessary to meet our communities growing need. We have outgrown our current location and during the flood this spring it was even more evident that our services are critical and our space is limited.
What We Found
A committee was formed consisting of members of our board of directors and and several well respected members of our community. We turned the town upside down and found exactly what we were looking for. The building is located in the Okotoks Industrial park and meets all or our needs.
Why ? Here Are 10 Reasons
This new building has a lot to offer. Here are the top 10 reasons a new location is a necessity:
1. Approximately 1600 sq. ft.
2. Open, bright, and welcoming
3. Office space
4. Confidential location for client intakes and counselling
5. Safe and accessible location
6. High ceiling for upright freezers (allows us to accept more free food items)
7. Open shelving for storage
8. Adequate space to store and move grocery carts around
9. Overhead doors & accessibility for delivery trucks
10. Bathrooms and sinks for food preparation
How Can You Help?
The OFBA receives no government funding and relies completely on the generosity of our community. We have been working hard to raise the funds need for this new building but need more help! We are asking you to acknowledge and support the work of the Okotoks Food Bank by joining us in our Capital Building Campaign. Several members of our community have already joined us and if you want to begin “sharing in the caring” we would love to help you make a one time gift or an annual contribution. We are asking you to help us raise money to help your fellow neighbours.
